Although much of the country was hit with inclement weather causing flight delays and some cancellations, ACAM attendees began to trickle into the Indianapolis Marriott Downtown hotel on Thursday evening. Chief Operating Officer Kayla Vos greeted attendees of the Peregrine Global Services Welcome Reception. The room erupted in applause as Interim President Dr. Archish Maharaja introduced incoming IACBE President Dr. Emmett P. Tracy, who shared his excitement about the future of the IACBE.
The conference officially kicked off on Friday morning with the Annual Assembly Meeting, where members voted on the election slate for both the Board of Commissioners and Board of Directors. Dr. Sharon Beaudry was also recognized for her service as Chair of the Board of Commissioners from 2023-2025.
Immediately following the meeting, Dr. Andrew Shean, of Penn Foster Group delivered a thought provoking and rousing keynote address.
After a full day of presentations by faculty from IACBE member institutions as well as sponsors, guests headed over to Victory Field to enjoy the game from the Elements Financial Club. The rain held off and a great time was had at the ballpark!
The week capped off on Saturday with more conference presentations and a recap of the fully virtual student case competition. The evening concluded with the Annual Accreditation and Awards Banquet celebration where institutions achieving Candidacy, First-time Accreditation, and Reaffirmation of Accreditation in 2024 were honored.
We hope that if you couldn’t attend this year, you’ll be able to join us at the Hilton City Center in Salt Lake City, Utah in April 2026! Please see the full list of award recipients below.
