The International Accreditation Council for Business Education (IACBE) is pleased to announce that Dr. Akm “Reza” Rezaul Hossain has been elected to the IACBE Board of Directors.
Dr. Akm Rezaul Hossein represents the Middle States regional assembly and begins serving his first three-year term in April 2025.
Dr. Hossain is the Professor of Economics at the School of Business, Mount Saint Mary College in New York. With over 19 years of academic and administrative leadership experience, he has led strategic initiatives in program development, accreditation, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Dr. Hossain played a pivotal role in achieving IACBE re-accreditation, modernizing the CPA-aligned accounting curriculum, and launching new programs in Healthcare and Sports Management. A published economist with a doctorate from the University of Connecticut, his research focuses on credit markets, financial regulation, and development economics. He has taught a wide range of courses in economics, finance, and data analytics, and is a dedicated mentor and advocate for innovative, student-centered business education.
