IACBE President Presents Session at International Conference of Businet
Lenexa, Kansas, USA (November 2013) – On November 13-16, 2013, Mr. Dennis N. Gash, President of the IACBE, traveled to Valletta, Malta to present an invited session at the international conference of the Businet association.
The theme of the 27th Annual Businet Conference was “Future Issues in Higher Education,” and well over 190 delegates from both public and private higher education institutions in Europe, China, India, and Mexico were in attendance.
During the conference, Mr. Gash presented a session dealing with “The IACBE and its Process of International Accreditation and Quality Assurance.” The session introduced the IACBE’s outcomes-based approach to accreditation and other essential processes for advancing academic quality in business schools and programs. In addition, the session also showcased the IACBE’s quality management system framework for quality assurance in business and management education. Mr. Gash also presented the merits of adopting global quality assurance standards, accreditation criteria, and peer-review processes. The session highlighted the IACBE’s distinctive approach to advancing academic quality in business and management education by combining its unique philosophy of accreditation and quality assurance with the organizational cultures of the business schools it accredits.
Businet is a global business education network of both public and private international institutions of higher education that share a common ethos regarding internationalization. The association is built upon a foundation of successful networking and provides an environment that encourages the sharing of good practice and encourages cooperation between like-minded individuals and organizations.
