The IACBE Presents Annual Awards of Excellence at its 2014 Annual Conference and Assembly Meeting
Lenexa, Kansas, USA (April 2014) – During the Awards Luncheon at its 2014 Annual Conference and Assembly Meeting on April 8-11, 2014 in San Diego, California, USA, the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) presented the following awards of excellence:
John L. Green Award for Excellence in Business Education
The John L. Green Award for Excellence in Business Education honors individuals who have made significant contributions that advance the cause of academic quality in business education in a manner consistent with the IACBE’s “Characteristics of Excellence in Business Education.”
- Dr. Robert Hilton, Chair of the Division of Business, Communications, and Government at the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, Arkansas
Frank V. Mastrianna Education Leader of the Year Award
The Frank V. Mastrianna Education Leader of the Year Award honors members of the IACBE community who are exemplary higher education leaders and who have made significant contributions to an institution of higher education or a higher education organization. The recipients are chosen based on their contributions to higher education, their communities, and the IACBE or the members of the IACBE.
- Dr. Pamela Shay, Vice President for Accreditation and Institutional Effectiveness at Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio
- Mr. A. Thothathri Raman, Chairman of the Standards for Educational Advancement and Accreditation (SEAA) Trust in New Delhi, India
Excellence in Teaching Award
The Excellence in Teaching Award recognizes outstanding faculty members from the IACBE community who have significant records of accomplished teaching in business education.
- Mr. Hossein Noorian, Professor of Business Management at Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts
Business Leader of the Year Award
The Business Leader of the Year Award recognizes exemplary businesspeople who are part of the IACBE community and are chosen based on their contributions to business, their communities, and the IACBE or the members of the IACBE.
- Dr. Olin Oedekoven, President and CEO of Peregrine Academic Services and Peregrine Leadership Institute in Gillette, Wyoming
