The IACBE Presents Annual Awards of Excellence at its 2012 Annual Conference and Assembly Meeting
Lenexa, Kansas, USA (April 2012) – During the Accreditation and Awards Banquet at its Annual Conference and Assembly Meeting on April 17-20, 2012 in Kansas City, Missouri, USA, the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) presented the following awards of excellence:
John L. Green Award for Excellence in Business Education
The John L. Green Award for Excellence in Business Education honors individuals who have made significant contributions that advance the cause of academic quality in business education in a manner consistent with the IACBE’s "Characteristics of Excellence in Business Education."
2012 Recipient: Dr. Vaughn Benson, Dean of the School of Business and Technology at Wayne State College in Wayne, Nebraska
Education Leader of the Year Award
Education Leader of the Year Award recognizes exemplary educators who are part of the IACBE community and are chosen based on their contributions to higher education, their communities, and the IACBE or the members of the IACBE.
2012 Recipient: Dr. B.V. Krishnamurthy, Chief Academic Officer and Distinguished Professor of Strategy and International Business at the Ramaiah Institute of Management Studies in Bangalore, India
Excellence in Teaching Award
The Excellence in Teaching Award recognizes outstanding faculty members from the IACBE community who have significant records of accomplished teaching in business education.
2012 Recipient: Dr. Ted Takamura, Professor of Business at Eastern Oregon University in La Grande, Oregon
