Interim Reports

Interim Reporting Requirements

All IACBE members must report on their continuing compliance with IACBE principles, policies, and procedures.

> Interim Reports

Interim ReportsPurpose

All academic business unit members of the IACBE agree to abide by the accreditation policies and procedures of the IACBE, and to keep the IACBE fully and regularly informed of their activities, operations, and any changes that take place within the academic business unit.

Consequently, all members of the IACBE regardless of accreditation status must submit interim reports for the purposes of ensuring that (i) the IACBE has up-to-date institutional, academic business unit, and contact information and (ii) the academic business unit remains in compliance with the IACBE’s Accreditation Principles, policies, and procedures.

To assist academic business units in this regard, the IACBE has developed an interim reporting platform for its members to use in complying with the Assembly’s reporting requirements.

Reporting Requirements for All Educational Members, Candidates for
Accreditation, and Accredited Members

All members of the IACBE (i.e., all Educational Members, Candidates for Accreditation, and Accredited Members) must report on institutional, academic business unit, and relevant personnel changes within 30 days of the changes (e.g., changes in the institution’s name, changes in ownership of the institution, closing of institution, etc., and changes in the president/chief executive officer, chief academic officer, head of the academic business unit, primary and alternate representatives to the IACBE).

Reporting Requirements for Accredited Members

Accredited Members with Notes

Accredited members of the IACBE who have received notes accompanying their accreditation must report the following information on an annual basis:

  • The actions taken to address the issues in the notes as identified by the Board of Commissioners
  • The website path to their public disclosure of student learning
  • The website path to their public notification of accreditation by the IACBE

This annual reporting information must be submitted to the IACBE by November 1 of each year.

Accredited Members with No Notes

Accredited members of the IACBE who have no notes, or who have complied with and cleared all of their notes (i.e., who have successfully addressed the issues in the notes as identified by the Board of Commissioners) must report the following information on an annual basis:

  • The website path to their public disclosure of student learning
  • The website path to their public notification of accreditation by the IACBE

This annual reporting information must be submitted to the IACBE by November 1 of each year.

All Accredited Members

All accredited members of the IACBE must report their outcomes assessment results (both student learning and operational assessment results) to the IACBE on an alternating-year basis. Note: Operational assessment results need to be reported only if you received first-time accreditation or reaffirmation of accreditation after January 1, 2011.

Members whose most recent accreditation was granted in an even year will report in even years and members whose most recent accreditation was granted in an odd year will report in odd years.

This alternating-year assessment information must be submitted to the IACBE by November 1 of the relevant year.

Note: Members who are in the process of reaffirmation of accreditation do not have to report outcomes assessment results in the self-study year if they have not requested an extension of their accreditation.

Accredited members will report on programmatic changes as they occur (e.g., new business programs, terminated IACBE-accredited programs, changes in existing IACBE-accredited programs, IACBE-accredited programs offered outside of their home countries, etc.).

If business programs that are accredited by the IACBE are to be offered and taught at new educational locations or instructional sites, accredited members of the IACBE must report relevant programmatic and location information during the planning phase and prior to the opening of the new locations/sites. In these cases, accredited members must provide information pertaining to the following areas at each new location or site:

  • Appropriate institutional accreditation/recognition/authority to award degrees
  • Programs offered
  • Faculty qualifications
  • Financial resources
  • Physical facilities
  • Learning and technological resources
  • Admission and graduation requirements
  • Administrative arrangements

Other Reporting Requirements

In general, any activity or change within the institution and/or the academic business unit that materially alters the status of IACBE-accredited business programs, the business faculty, the resources in support of the academic business unit, or other areas that might impact its compliance with the IACBE’s Accreditation Principles and policies must be reported to the IACBE.

Reporting Platform

Except in the case of outcomes assessment results, members will submit their reports online via a reporting platform on the IACBE website. In the case of reporting outcomes assessment results, accredited members will use the form developed by the IACBE and submit their reports via email to reports@iacbe.org.
