The European Federation of Schools (FEDE) was established in 1963 at Barcelona. It brings together independent educational establishments and universities located in the member states of the Council of Europe (45 countries) by uniting them under one common banner and authority. It is a non-profit making, international association enjoying a 'Participatory status' in the Council of Europe and bears the title of a Non-governmental Organization (NGO).   FEDE-affiliated business programs are encouraged to pursue IACBE accreditation.

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) was established in 1986 with a founding membership of eighteen institutions. Because of HACU’s exemplary leadership on behalf of the nation’s youngest and fastest-growing population, the Association rapidly grew in numbers and national impact.

Today, HACU represents nearly 450 colleges and universities committed to Hispanic higher education success in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Latin America, Spain and Portugal. Although our member institutions in the U. S. represent less than 10% of all higher education institutions nationwide, together they are home to more than two-thirds of all Hispanic college students. HACU is the only national educational association that represents Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs).

Future Business Leaders of America – Phi Beta Lambda is the largest business student organization in the world with 260,000 student members.  The PBL division has about 11,000 student members nationally on 600 college and university campuses.  The CBE outcomes assessment exam for four year colleges and universities is a 100 question, multiple-choice, one hour exam (on average), which can easily be administered in a class period.  PBL also sponsors 50 academic individual and team competitive events including accounting, finance, marketing, economics, management, etc. for state and national recognition and, in many cases, for cash awards from corporate sponsors.

In addition, the company created computerized practice sets for the academic market. These practice sets were written in Zbasic and used by accounting principles students after they had completed the financial accounting cycle (the first three weeks of the course). The idea is that the student is given three days of accounting transactions (at the end of the month) to enter into the books, adjust and close, then produce financial statementsMost recently (1998), Ivy Software produces the BEL (and has added two new titles) as well as the practice sets. The new titles are:
The BEL is intended for both the corporate and academic markets with the basic premise being:
Each BEL course consists of a printed text written by an academic and diskettes, CD-ROM, or online material, depending on the customer. The texts are from 50 to 150 pages. It is very important to note that the software alone will not be beneficial without reading the appropriate text portion first, i.e., the printed text is a critical part of the product. The
