Annual Membership Dues

Membership dues for academic business unit members of the IACBE for the 2017 membership year are $2,450. For accredited members, there is an additional $500 fee for accreditation maintenance.

Annual membership dues for a given calendar year are payable in advance and must be paid before December 15 of the prior year, or late fees will be assessed.

Note: Annual membership dues for 2018 will be $2,550 in addition to an accreditation maintenance fee of $500 for accredited members. These dues and fees will be billed in mid-May or June 1, 2017, and will be due before December 15, 2017.

Annual dues for the 2017 membership year are $2,450. For new members of the IACBE, membership dues for 2017 are prorated according to the date of joining as follows:

Application Fees

The application fee for candidacy status must be paid least 60 days prior to the scheduled candidacy visit. The application fee for first-time accreditation and reaffirmation of accreditation must be paid prior to the beginning of the self-study year.

Required Workshop Costs

Prior to applying for candidacy status, all academic business units that are Educational Members of the IACBE must have one or more representatives attend a workshop on “Developing a Comprehensive Outcomes Assessment Plan.” All academic business units seeking first-time accreditation must have one or more representatives attend a workshop on “Preparing an Effective Self-Study.” All academic business units seeking reaffirmation of accreditation must have one or more representatives attend a workshop on “Developing a Comprehensive Outcomes Assessment Plan.“ These workshops are conducted at various times and venues throughout the year. The table below identifies the costs of these required workshops.

Notes: The workshop fees are $500 per person for the first two registrants and $250 per person for any additional registrants from the same institution.

The costs associated with this option include a $1,200 per day mentoring fee plus travel expenses, hotel accommodations, meals, and transportation for the IACBE staff mentor. If the workshop is conducted as an on-site mentoring visit, the academic business unit may have as many people as it wishes to attend the workshop.

Typically, a candidacy visit to institutions outside of the United States takes two days. The costs of the visit include travel, meals, and hotel expenses for an IACBE representative who conducts the candidacy visit. Costs of Accreditation Site Visits for Institutions in the United States

The costs associated with accreditation site visits will vary depending on the institution’s location. These costs include travel, meals, hotel expenses, and honoraria for the site-visit team members. Normally, a two-person site-visit team is used for institutions located in the United States. The team members receive honoraria totaling $500 per day (the chair receives $300 per day and the other team member receives $200 per day). Academic business units are also encouraged to include an IACBE staff member in a consultative capacity as a member of the team. No honorarium is required for the staff consultant. Therefore, the only costs to the institution for this person are travel, meals, and hotel expenses. Typically, a site visit to institutions in the United States takes two days.
